One week

Just one week.

One week left in China and then no more.
No more being in a place where the only thing people seem to care about is work.
No more feeling like every day is a battle in a place I don't belong.
No more people taking my picture because I'm different.
No more people smoking beside me while I try to eat.
No more people coughing into my face.
No more always being soaked in sweat.
No more people pushing through me.
No more cloudy grey polluted skies.
No more umbrellas in the face.
No more never ending traffic.
No more people touching me.
No more spitting at my feet.
No more yelling in my ear.
No more lack of sunshine.
No more mean old ladies.

No more honking.
No more staring.

No more crazy.

Because that's what China is. China is crazy in a way that no other place is. In China, there's so many people that everyone just says “fuck it” and stops caring what other people think. They do whatever they want to without fear of judgement. They don't wait to be told it's ok. They don't worry they way we do. They don't worry about what other people think about them. About how they come across. They don't ask “how are you?” when they don't want to hear the answer. They aren't nice to people they don't want to be. They don't make themselves feel bad for being a human with human functions. They don't apologize. They just do their thing. They are raw and unfiltered. Honest and crude.
They just let go and live their lives and it's a crazy thing to be apart of.

No more crazy.

No more wild west.
No more shamelessness.
No more constant surprises.
No more daily wtf moments.
No more outdoor fruit markets.
No more constant tests of patience.
No more laughing at Chinglish signs.
No more being able to break the rules.
No more not having to worry how I look.
No more having to push myself to rise above.
No more teaching myself to learn their language.
No more people coming up to me to touch my biceps.
No more not having to worry that I have offended someone.
No more people setting off fireworks to ward off evil spirits.
No more big crowds of old Chinese people dancing in the parks.
No more getting to watch Chinese people do their so called “work outs.”
No more shy Chinese girls coming up to me and asking to take a picture with me.
No more being completely free from judgement in a crazy place I don't really belong in.
One week left in China and then no more.

Just one week.
